Sport

We design training apps, club and federation platforms, and booking systems for sports facilities. We work with data from wearables, with ticketing under matchday load spikes, with loyalty programmes, and with apps a fan opens before, during and after the game.

We have worked with leading companies and startups

Challenges

Training, matchday and a facility booking each need their own reason to come back

  • „The training app starts well, and after two weeks the user stops coming back.”

Research into motivation and the reasons people quit, a UX audit of the “session to session” flow, redesign of onboarding and reminder mechanics. We measure D7, D14 and D30 retention and the share of users who keep the subscription after the trial.

  • „The fan buys a ticket and never opens the app between matches.”

Workflow research with fans and the club’s commercial team, redesign of the ecosystem (streams, shop, exclusive content) inside one app, integration of the loyalty programme. We measure ARPU per fan, visit frequency on non-matchdays, and the return rate for the next event.

  • „The court booking falls apart at the last step, at payment.”

A UX audit of the booking journey, research with customers of gym, wind-tunnel and court chains, redesign of the forms (booking without an account, autofill, fewer fields). We measure the drop in abandonment, fewer calls to the helpline, and the average time to book.

Who it is for

Training, club, booking - three models, one user decision

Whatever the product - we hand over the design in a format a development team working with live data (live scores, a session result straight off the device, slot availability) and with ticketing, payment and wearable integrations can read.

  • Training apps and health-tech

Apps for training plans, progress tracking and supplementation. Wearable integrations (Garmin, Apple Health, Polar), subscriptions, retention as KPI number one. An interface that minimises cognitive load after an exhausting session - log a set in a fraction of a second, start a session in one tap.

  • Sports club platforms and fan engagement

Ecosystems combining ticketing, merchandise, video streams, a loyalty programme and fan communication. Onboarding built for the sudden matchday traffic spike, one login across the ecosystem; we measure ARPU per fan and the return rate for the next event.

  • Facility booking systems and virtual cards

Booking platforms for halls, courts, wind tunnels and fitness clubs. A virtual card in the app replacing the physical pass (with an offline mode at club reception), a class calendar, a checkout that works without an account. We measure the drop in abandoned bookings and the number of calls to the helpline.

Process

Five steps - from the first conversation to post-launch measurement

We scale the scope to the product. For training apps the emphasis is on retention (keeping the user past the first two weeks) and wearable integrations. For clubs and federations - on the fan engagement ecosystem (ticketing + shop + video + loyalty). For sports service chains (fitness, indoor skydiving, wind tunnels) - on a booking journey without drop-off and a virtual card that replaces the physical pass.

  1. 30 min

    Discovery call - 30 minutes

Online, with the lead designer. We get to know the product, the metrics you judge it by, and the regulatory context it operates in.

  2. Week 1–2

    Audit and discovery

Analytics, session recordings, user interviews, heuristic review. The barriers people actually hit become design hypotheses.

  3. Week 3–6

    UX/UI design

Wireframes, a prototype you can click through, the final interface. Documentation written for the team that will ship it - tokens, states and responsive behaviour included.

  4. Week 6–7

    Validation

Tests with real users, or an A/B test in production. The design changes on the strength of what we saw, before it reaches code.

  5. After launch

    Delivery and care

We work side by side with your developers - implementation review, fixes, additions to the library. After launch we measure and come back with the next hypotheses.

Client voices

What our clients say

  • „Working with the Wzór team was a genuinely great experience! They always answered our questions quickly and were flexible about our comments. They have no shortage of creative ideas and are at the same time thoroughly reliable and on time. The end result fully met our expectations; we recommend them to anyone looking for professionals who care.”
Maja Wieloch-Silecka Operations Director, Bosfor Group
  • „Our clients expect us to act fast and effectively across a very wide scope - from building a brand, through a website with a store, to running an effective sales campaign. Not an easy task, but doable when you have a tight-knit team and partners who take on challenges on the fly. For us, quality, accountability and commitment are key, and working with UX Agency Wzór gives us that 100%.”
Piotr Alberski Chief Operating Officer, Agencja XO Media
  • „Our cooperation with UX Agency Wzór started with our own website. We really liked the way they work, so we decided to subcontract projects for our clients to them on a White Label basis. We loved their workflow, the way they hand projects over to our team, their documentation and their work on the design system. Now we can take on bigger risks.”
Mateusz Swół Chief Operating Officer, Sellace

FAQ

Questions that come up most often

Do you design apps integrated with Garmin, Apple Health and Google Fit?

Yes - we treat wearables as a first-class data source. We design screens for reading a workout result, syncing history, and the edge cases (no data, delayed sync, device offline). You get your workout result in your hand a second after finishing - no loading screen, no hunting for the calorie count.

How do you design ticketing that survives match-day load spikes?

A ticketing spike is two problems in one - UX (the fan has to buy within a split second of sales opening) and infrastructure (the system must not fall over). We design a path with a queue, priority access for loyalty card holders, saved payment details and a real-time status screen. We hand over documentation in a format the development team can implement without losing scalability.

Do you handle loyalty programmes and virtual cards replacing physical passes?

Yes - a virtual card in the app is standard for a modern club. We design it to work offline (the fan enters the venue despite no signal), with a legible QR / NFC code, visit history and loyalty mechanics (points for attendance, vouchers, access to exclusive content). We measure card adoption and the rate at which users return to the club.

Do you work with sports clubs or only with fitness apps?

With both. Clubs (football, basketball, esports, federations) need a fan engagement ecosystem - ticketing plus store plus content plus loyalty in a single app. Fitness and training apps need retention - an interface that does not exhaust the user after a workout. In both cases we research real users (the fan, the exerciser, the instructor) rather than relying solely on the opinions of “internal experts”.
