Banking & Finance
Financial apps - regulatory compliance doesn’t have to cost clarity.
We have worked with leading companies and startups
Challenges
Regulatory compliance and readability fit inside one design
-
„People start opening an account and drop out at identity verification.”
UX audit of the KYC process, identification of blocking steps, redesign of forms in line with AML/CFT requirements. Validation with real users.
-
„An audit flagged accessibility gaps, and the European Accessibility Act is already in force.”
Accessibility audit (automated + manual) in line with the European Accessibility Act, a prioritised remediation plan, rollout with the product team.
-
„Advisors work in an internal panel where every decision takes three tabs.”
Workflow research with advisors / analysts, redesign of critical screens (KYC review, scoring, client portfolios), task-time measurement.
Who it is for
Retail, investments, FinTech - three worlds, one demand for clarity
We hand over the design in a format your development team can read, with accessibility documentation and journeys aligned to supervisory recommendations.
-
Retail banking and payments
Mobile apps, transactional systems, instant transfers and P2P, cards, consumer loans. Mobile-first, remote KYC, Strong Customer Authentication (SCA).
-
Investments and corporate banking
Investment panels (funds, pension accounts, brokers), business banking, tools for advisors and analysts. Risk profiling, cost disclosure (MiFID II ex-ante/ex-post), action auditability.
-
FinTech and Open Banking
Payment startups, PSD2 aggregators, lending platforms, neobanks. KYC/eKYC onboarding, AML/CFT, integrations with identity providers and core banking.
Process
Five steps - from the first conversation to post-launch measurement
We scale scope to the product. For retail banking the emphasis is on onboarding and mobile; for investments - on risk profiling, MiFID II and cost disclosure; for corporate banking - on roles, auditability and core-banking integrations.
- 30 min
Discovery call - 30 minutes
Online, with the lead designer. We get to know the product, the metrics you judge it by, and the regulatory context it operates in.
- Week 1–2
Audit and discovery
Analytics, session recordings, user interviews, heuristic review. The barriers people actually hit become design hypotheses.
- Week 3–6
UX/UI design
Wireframes, a prototype you can click through, the final interface. Documentation written for the team that will ship it - tokens, states and responsive behaviour included.
- Week 6–7
Validation
Tests with real users, or an A/B test in production. The design changes on the strength of what we saw, before it reaches code.
- After launch
Delivery and care
We work side by side with your developers - implementation review, fixes, additions to the library. After launch we measure and come back with the next hypotheses.

What our clients say
-
„Working with the Wzór team was a genuinely great experience! They always answered our questions quickly and were flexible about our comments. They have no shortage of creative ideas and are at the same time thoroughly reliable and on time. The end result fully met our expectations; we recommend them to anyone looking for professionals who care.”
Maja Wieloch-Silecka Operations Director, Bosfor Group -
„Our clients expect us to act fast and effectively across a very wide scope - from building a brand, through a website with a store, to running an effective sales campaign. Not an easy task, but doable when you have a tight-knit team and partners who take on challenges on the fly. For us, quality, accountability and commitment are key, and working with UX Agency Wzór gives us that 100%.”
Piotr Alberski Chief Operating Officer, Agencja XO Media -
„Our cooperation with UX Agency Wzór started with our own website. We really liked the way they work, so we decided to subcontract projects for our clients to them on a White Label basis. We loved their workflow, the way they hand projects over to our team, their documentation and their work on the design system. Now we can take on bigger risks.”
Mateusz Swół Chief Operating Officer, Sellace

FAQ
Questions that come up most often
Do you know financial supervisor guidelines and recommendations?
Yes - we design in line with supervisory recommendations for banks and investment firms. The most common areas: Strong Customer Authentication (SCA), disclosed information, investment risk profiling, cost disclosure (MiFID II ex-ante / ex-post).
Do you also design for corporate banking?
Yes - advisor panels, approval systems, operational dashboards, AML/fraud monitoring tools. The specifics: complex access rules, auditability of every action, core-banking integrations.
How long does a WCAG audit of a financial app take?
A standard WCAG 2.1 AA audit of a banking / fintech app: 2–4 weeks. It covers automated testing (axe, Lighthouse), manual testing (with a screen reader, keyboard, contrast), a prioritised remediation plan and consultations with the development team.
Do you sign NDAs and how do you secure data?
Yes, NDAs as standard - ours or yours if required. Sensitive data never leaves the client’s environment. In research we work on anonymised data or within the client’s environment. GDPR + ISO 27001 ready.
