Healthcare
We design patient apps, clinical tools for doctors and telemedicine platforms. We research with patients in clinical settings and keep UX documentation aligned with MDR, GDPR and national health-system requirements.
We have worked with leading companies and startups
Challenges
Patient and clinician see the same system from two sides, and both have to work under MDR
-
„Patients download the app and stop using it after the first week.”
Contextual interviews with patients (including seniors 65+), onboarding audit, redesign of critical journeys (registration, prescription, teleconsultation).
-
„Clinicians say the system stretches the visit instead of shortening it.”
Workflow research with doctors and nurses, redesign of critical screens (anamnesis, e-prescription, referral). We measure task time.
-
„MDR certification is ahead of us, and the usability and accessibility documentation is missing.”
Design-process documentation aligned with MDR (usability engineering file IEC 62366), WCAG audits, risk assessments in the context of use errors.
Who it is for
Patient, doctor, system - three worlds, one journey
We hand over the design in a format your development team can read, with documentation ready to submit in a medical device technical file (where required).
-
Patient apps and mHealth
Patient portals, teleconsultation apps, health monitoring, e-prescriptions and e-referrals, apps for chronic conditions. Senior (65+) onboarding, integration with national patient accounts and trusted identity.
-
Tools for doctors and clinical staff
Clinical systems (EHR), apps for nurses and paramedics, tools for pharmacists. Redesign of critical screens: anamnesis, e-prescription, referral, discharge summary. We measure visit time and number of clicks.
-
Medical devices and hospital systems
Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) Class I/IIa/IIb, HIS systems and hospital modules, AI-assisted diagnostic tools. UX documentation aligned with IEC 62366, use-error risk assessments under ISO 14971.
Process
Five steps - from the first conversation to post-launch measurement
We scale scope to the product. For patient apps (mHealth, teleconsultations) the emphasis is on senior onboarding and persistence of use. For clinical tools - on shortening visit time and preventing use errors. For Class IIa+ medical devices - on summative evaluation and risk analysis for the technical file.
- 30 min
Discovery call - 30 minutes
Online, with the lead designer. We get to know the product, the metrics you judge it by, and the regulatory context it operates in.
- Week 1–2
Audit and discovery
Analytics, session recordings, user interviews, heuristic review. The barriers people actually hit become design hypotheses.
- Week 3–6
UX/UI design
Wireframes, a prototype you can click through, the final interface. Documentation written for the team that will ship it - tokens, states and responsive behaviour included.
- Week 6–7
Validation
Tests with real users, or an A/B test in production. The design changes on the strength of what we saw, before it reaches code.
- After launch
Delivery and care
We work side by side with your developers - implementation review, fixes, additions to the library. After launch we measure and come back with the next hypotheses.

Client voices
What our clients say
-
„Working with the Wzór team was a genuinely great experience! They always answered our questions quickly and were flexible about our comments. They have no shortage of creative ideas and are at the same time thoroughly reliable and on time. The end result fully met our expectations; we recommend them to anyone looking for professionals who care.”
Maja Wieloch-Silecka Operations Director, Bosfor Group -
„Our clients expect us to act fast and effectively across a very wide scope - from building a brand, through a website with a store, to running an effective sales campaign. Not an easy task, but doable when you have a tight-knit team and partners who take on challenges on the fly. For us, quality, accountability and commitment are key, and working with UX Agency Wzór gives us that 100%.”
Piotr Alberski Chief Operating Officer, Agencja XO Media -
„Our cooperation with UX Agency Wzór started with our own website. We really liked the way they work, so we decided to subcontract projects for our clients to them on a White Label basis. We loved their workflow, the way they hand projects over to our team, their documentation and their work on the design system. Now we can take on bigger risks.”
Mateusz Swół Chief Operating Officer, Sellace

FAQ
Questions that come up most often
Do you design medical devices of Class IIa or higher?
We carry out UX design for devices of all classes. For Class IIa/IIb/III we work with a regulatory partner on the client side or an independent one - usability engineering file (IEC 62366), risk management (ISO 14971), clinical evaluation assessment. We don’t issue declarations of conformity ourselves.
Do you have experience with telemedicine?
Yes - teleconsultation apps, health monitoring (mHealth), doctor-patient collaboration platforms, e-prescriptions and e-referrals. The specifics: integrations with national health systems, trusted-identity authentication, GDPR in the context of sensitive data.
How do you research with patients in clinical settings?
Contextual interviews in the clinic / on the ward, usability testing on a prototype (clickable or Coded), diary studies (7–21 days), shadowing. All research in line with GDPR + an ethics committee (where required). We run recruitment ourselves or via a clinical partner.
Do you design for MDR and what does the usability engineering file look like?
Yes - for Class IIa+ the UX documentation feeds into the usability engineering file (IEC 62366). It consists of: use specification, identification of hazards related to use, formative + summative evaluation, residual risk analysis. A format ready to submit with the technical file.
