Insurance
We design online policy sales funnels, claims-handling apps and service portals. We understand the two extremes of the customer’s emotional state - cool calculation while buying motor cover, and stress after a collision - and we design the interface so each gets its own pace.
We have worked with leading companies and startups
Challenges
The calculator, the claim and the next product in the range stand on the same foundation
-
„Many start the calculator, and most drop out at the cover-selection step.”
A UX audit of the sales funnel, research with customers who did not complete the purchase, redesign of the selection sequence and how variants are presented. Prototype validation and A/B tests of the most important changes.
-
„The helpline is drowning in simple claims the customer could file themselves.”
Design of an app for self-service claims - photo documentation, chat with a handler, video inspection. The goal: move routine claims off the phone and into the app without losing quality control.
-
„Every new product means a calculator built from scratch here.”
Design of a design system for calculators - shared components, validation patterns, one visual theme. It shortens time to launch for each new product line and forces a consistent experience.
Who it is for
Sales, claims, service - three moments, three journeys
We hand over the design in a format the team integrating with the insurer’s core systems (policy, claims and agency systems) and with compliance requirements can read.
-
Premium calculators and online policy sales
Motor, travel, home, personal accident, life. Direct sales funnels (B2C) and funnels for comparison sites (marketplace). The architecture of choosing variants, dynamic pricing, financing presented clearly, and a hand-off to an agent that keeps the context.
-
Claims-handling apps
Mobile-first apps for policyholders after an incident - uploading photos and documents, chat with a claims handler, video inspection instead of a loss adjuster’s visit. The goal: less load on the helpline and a shorter time to settle a claim.
-
Self-care portals and agent tooling
Service apps for policyholders - reviewing policies, paying premiums, updating details, renewals. Agent tooling - quoting, issuing a policy during the meeting with the client, integration with core systems.
Process
Five steps - from the first conversation to post-launch measurement
We scale the scope to the product. For online policy sales (motor, travel, home, personal accident) the emphasis is on simplifying the journey and presenting variants clearly. For claims handling - on taking load off the helpline (photos, chat, video inspection). For self-care portals - on 24/7 self-service with no agent involved.
- 30 min
Discovery call - 30 minutes
Online, with the lead designer. We get to know the product, the metrics you judge it by, and the regulatory context it operates in.
- Week 1–2
Audit and discovery
Analytics, session recordings, user interviews, heuristic review. The barriers people actually hit become design hypotheses.
- Week 3–6
UX/UI design
Wireframes, a prototype you can click through, the final interface. Documentation written for the team that will ship it - tokens, states and responsive behaviour included.
- Week 6–7
Validation
Tests with real users, or an A/B test in production. The design changes on the strength of what we saw, before it reaches code.
- After launch
Delivery and care
We work side by side with your developers - implementation review, fixes, additions to the library. After launch we measure and come back with the next hypotheses.

Client voices
What our clients say
-
„Working with the Wzór team was a genuinely great experience! They always answered our questions quickly and were flexible about our comments. They have no shortage of creative ideas and are at the same time thoroughly reliable and on time. The end result fully met our expectations; we recommend them to anyone looking for professionals who care.”
Maja Wieloch-Silecka Operations Director, Bosfor Group -
„Our clients expect us to act fast and effectively across a very wide scope - from building a brand, through a website with a store, to running an effective sales campaign. Not an easy task, but doable when you have a tight-knit team and partners who take on challenges on the fly. For us, quality, accountability and commitment are key, and working with UX Agency Wzór gives us that 100%.”
Piotr Alberski Chief Operating Officer, Agencja XO Media -
„Our cooperation with UX Agency Wzór started with our own website. We really liked the way they work, so we decided to subcontract projects for our clients to them on a White Label basis. We loved their workflow, the way they hand projects over to our team, their documentation and their work on the design system. Now we can take on bigger risks.”
Mateusz Swół Chief Operating Officer, Sellace

FAQ
Questions that come up most often
Do you design for compliance - KNF, IDD, GDPR?
Yes - we work with insurance compliance requirements. IDD (information duties, the demands-and-needs test, the IPID document) is built into the buying path rather than bolted alongside it. We handle GDPR through data minimisation - at every step we ask only for what we genuinely need. We hand over design documentation in a format that makes the client’s compliance audit easier.
Do you have experience with claims handling, not only policy sales?
Yes - claims handling is a different problem from sales. A customer who has just had an accident is stressed and instinctively reaches for the phone. So the app is not there to replace reporting a claim on the hotline - it is there to take over the rest of the process: documentation, contact with the loss adjuster, video inspection. We measure adoption and the effect on hotline load.
Do you work with agents and multi-agents, not only direct?
Yes - we design tools for agents (an agency panel, quoting during a meeting, issuing a policy in one click) and for multi-agents (comparing offers from several insurers, running the process in line with IDD). We understand the difference between the direct, agency and brokerage models.
How long does an insurance calculator project take?
UX audit of an existing calculator: 3–5 weeks. A full redesign of one calculator (motor or travel) with research and prototype validation: 10–14 weeks. A design system for the whole product portfolio (4–6 calculators): 16–20 weeks. We give a concrete estimate after a short scoping call.
