Challenges
Three moments when a consultation really pays off
Not sure a consultation will help? Book a 30-minute scouting call - no strings attached, we will tell you honestly whether this is the right format for you.
-
„Pre-decision: pivot, tech choice, MVP direction”
A pre-seed or seed founder needs a second opinion before a big decision. A 90-min consultation gives a fresh re-frame and a list of questions you have not asked your own team.
-
„The team is stuck on a design decision”
A PM, CPO or Head of Product is looking for an outside perspective. A 1:1 consultation or a series of 4 sessions (advisor retainer) unblocks the strategic debate without the cost of a full project.
-
„A brief or Figma review before a pitch”
Pitching an investor, a client, a committee - you want to be sure your brief / UX project is coherent. A review + consultation within 48h gives you concrete ammunition for the conversation.
Who it is for
Who books these sessions most often
-
Teams adding AI to an existing product
A mature tool gains an assistant, semantic search or model-generated suggestions, and the team is designing its first screen on which the system is sometimes uncertain. The session works through specific views - what the user sees when the model gets it wrong, how they know what the answer is based on, and which decision has to stay with a human.
-
Products where the interface is designed by a developer or a product owner
A B2B tool grows for years, new screens are added by backend people, and an argument about a form layout is settled by a show of hands. The session separates what is a real usability problem from what is a matter of taste, and points out which of those is worth touching at all.
-
Software houses pricing a project with a UX component
The client's enquiry includes interface design, and the quote is built on a screen count because nothing more is visible at the offer stage. We work through the scope assumptions - what can be designed from the brief alone, what needs research, and which elements cost more work than their appearance suggests.
-
In-house departments preparing a request for proposal
Requirements for a new portal or internal system are written by several departments at once and reach vendors as a list of features. We check whether comparable offers can be built from such a document, and point out the places where a decision left open on your side comes back as a scope change during delivery.
Our difference
What makes our consultation different
-
We separate knowledge from hypothesis
Every recommendation carries its basis - practice from similar products or an assumption to be verified. When an answer needs data, you get a description of what to measure and on what sample, instead of an opinion presented as a certainty.
-
Notes written for the people who were not in the session
Every entry carries the decision, its reason and the options we rejected, together with the reason for rejecting them. Your board, a developer or a new person on the team reads the conclusions without you relaying them, half a year later as well.
-
One person and one decision log in the package
All four sessions in a month are run by the same senior, and the conclusions go into a single document rather than four separate sets of notes. Each next meeting opens with a review of what from the previous one made it into the product, and with naming the reason where something did not.
-
The person running the session also has live client projects
Sessions are run by people who design and ship products for clients in parallel, not only advise. The estimate of "how much work this is for the team" therefore comes from current quotes, not from a market average a few years old.
Process
From brief to TODO list - 72 hours
- Day 1
Enquiry and agenda
A short email with your questions and context. Within 24h we reply with a proposed session agenda and the name of the senior who will run it.
- Day 2–3
90-minute session
Online (Google Meet, optionally Miro for interactive sketching) or on-site. Audio recording with consent, real-time decision documentation by the senior.
- Day 3 (48h after the session)
Summary and recommendations
An email with structured notes, 3-5 recommendations ordered by priority and a TODO list for your team. Optionally a session recording.
- 2-4 weeks after the session
Follow-up (optional)
A short online follow-up (30 min, 2-4 weeks after the session) - we check which recommendations you implemented, what worked, where you need support.
Deliverables
Three consulting formats. Three concrete outputs in your inbox
-
90-min consultation - single shot
A senior designer 1:1 with you. Online (Google Meet) or on-site. Within 48 hours of the session: structured notes, 3-5 concrete recommendations, a TODO list for your team.
-
4-session package - advisor retainer
Four 90-min sessions/month with a dedicated senior. Lightweight Slack/email support between sessions. An ideal "fractional UX advisor" for scale-ups without an in-house design senior.
-
Brief or Figma review + consultation
A pre-session review of your documentation or Figma project (2-4h of senior work). A consultation grounded in concrete observations. Output: a PDF report + an action plan.

Outcomes
What is left after the session
-
90 min
One 1:1 block with a senior, online or at your office - not split into shorter meetings
-
48h
Within that time you have the notes and recommendations in writing, so someone who missed the session can read the conclusions too
-
3–5
Recommendations ordered by priority, each with its basis marked - practice or a hypothesis to verify
-
2–4 wks
After that many weeks we come back for a short follow-up and check which recommendations made it into the product
All four numbers are format commitments described in the schedule on this page - not market averages or client results. We do not measure the business outcomes of a consultation on your behalf and we do not publish them.
Client voices
What our clients say
-
„Working with the Wzór team was a genuinely great experience! They always answered our questions quickly and were flexible about our comments. They have no shortage of creative ideas and are at the same time thoroughly reliable and on time. The end result fully met our expectations; we recommend them to anyone looking for professionals who care.”
Maja Wieloch-Silecka Operations Director, Bosfor Group -
„Our clients expect us to act fast and effectively across a very wide scope - from building a brand, through a website with a store, to running an effective sales campaign. Not an easy task, but doable when you have a tight-knit team and partners who take on challenges on the fly. For us, quality, accountability and commitment are key, and working with UX Agency Wzór gives us that 100%.”
Piotr Alberski Chief Operating Officer, Agencja XO Media -
„Our cooperation with UX Agency Wzór started with our own website. We really liked the way they work, so we decided to subcontract projects for our clients to them on a White Label basis. We loved their workflow, the way they hand projects over to our team, their documentation and their work on the design system. Now we can take on bigger risks.”
Mateusz Swół Chief Operating Officer, Sellace

Time and scope
How long it takes and what drives the quote
72 hours from enquiry to TODO list
Three days is the standard path - an agenda within a day of the enquiry, the session, and after it notes and recommendations within 48 hours. A review of the brief or the Figma project before the session adds preparation time, which we state together with the agenda, while the advisor package spreads across four meetings a month.
-
The format of the engagement - a single session, a monthly package or a session preceded by a review of your materials
-
The volume and state of the materials we go through before the meeting
-
Who takes part on your side - a 1:1 conversation or a session with the product team
-
The form of the meeting - online or on-site at your office
-
Formal requirements - NDA, a regulated sector, rules for recording and storing notes
FAQ
Questions that come up most often
How do consulting sessions differ from workshops?
Consulting is a 1:1 session (90 min) around a specific question - a quick signal plus 3-5 recommendations within 48h. Workshops (see /en/services/warsztaty-ux/) are a longer process (1-3 days) with a team of 5-12 people, leading to documented strategic decisions.
How much does a consultation cost?
We quote each engagement individually - the price depends on the format (a single 1:1 session, an advisor retainer with 4 sessions a month, or a review plus consultation) and the seniority on our side. After a short brief you get a concrete proposal within 48 hours. The fastest route: a free 30-minute intro call.
Is the consultation online or on-site?
Online by default (Google Meet, optionally Miro for interactive sketching) - faster, cheaper, easier to archive for the team. On-site gladly - at our office in Lublin or at your place in Warsaw, Kraków, Gdańsk. Travel cost included.
Do you sign an NDA?
Yes. We sign NDAs as standard for projects in finance, healthcare and the public sector. Our NDA template or yours - no problem, within 24h.
Who runs the consultation - a senior or a junior?
Only a senior with 10+ years of experience designing digital products - not an account manager, not a junior. We name the person leading the session in the agenda. You can request a specific person from the team.
What exactly do I get after the session?
Within 48 hours of the session, in your inbox: (1) structured session notes in Notion/PDF, (2) 3-5 concrete recommendations ordered by priority, (3) a TODO list for your team with owners, (4) optionally a session recording.
