Pharma

We design online pharmacies, patient programmes, product portals for pharmaceutical companies and apps for medical reps. We work within the constraints on Rx communication, with health data under GDPR, and with SmPC content presented so the patient understands it and legal has nothing to object to.

We have worked with leading companies and startups

Challenges

The pharmacy, the patient programme and the doctor's visit run at three speeds and share one compliance bar

  • „The online pharmacy has traffic, and baskets get abandoned at prescription verification.”

An expert usability audit of the pharmacy, analysis of the buying path, redesign of the critical screens (product page, basket, prescription verification). The benchmark: better conversion without breaching the restrictions on drug advertising.

  • „The patient programme collects sensitive data and legal keeps sending the consent flow back.”

A GDPR and privacy-by-design audit, onboarding redesign, consent and information flows written so a patient can read them. Consent as an informed decision, not a checkbox - so the programme survives review by legal and the Data Protection Officer.

  • „Our reps carry the app from clinic to clinic and never open it.”

Contextual research with medical reps during doctor visits, redesign of e-detailing materials to fit a three-minute call, optimisation of offline work. We measure the time it takes to reach the key piece of information.

Who it is for

Pharmacy, patient, doctor - three audiences, one brand

Whatever the channel - we run the design in dialogue with the medical, legal and compliance teams. We write documentation in a format that makes content approval under the group’s internal procedures easier.

  • Online pharmacies, OTC and supplement stores

Conversion audits of online pharmacies and supplement stores, redesign of the buying path, design of how OTC medicines and supplements are presented. Work within the constraints on drug advertising, integrations with e-prescriptions and the national health platform.

  • Patient programmes and product portals

Product sites for pharmaceutical companies, loyalty and education programmes for patients, apps that support therapy (dose reminders, symptom tracking). SmPC content presented clearly, health data under GDPR and privacy by design from the first screen.

  • Tools for medical reps and e-detailing

Apps for medical reps to use in a doctor’s office, promotional materials for e-detailing, CRM tooling for Rx sales teams. Offline work, readability within a three-minute visit, integrations with Veeva-class systems.

Process

Five steps - from the first conversation to post-launch measurement

We scale the scope to the product. For online pharmacies the emphasis is on conversion and the restrictions on Rx advertising. For patient programmes - on education, dose reminders and collecting health data safely. For medical rep apps - on working offline in a doctor’s office and on materials that read in the three minutes a visit lasts.

  1. 30 min

    Discovery call - 30 minutes

Online, with the lead designer. We get to know the product, the metrics you judge it by, and the regulatory context it operates in.

  2. Week 1–2

    Audit and discovery

Analytics, session recordings, user interviews, heuristic review. The barriers people actually hit become design hypotheses.

  3. Week 3–6

    UX/UI design

Wireframes, a prototype you can click through, the final interface. Documentation written for the team that will ship it - tokens, states and responsive behaviour included.

  4. Week 6–7

    Validation

Tests with real users, or an A/B test in production. The design changes on the strength of what we saw, before it reaches code.

  5. After launch

    Delivery and care

We work side by side with your developers - implementation review, fixes, additions to the library. After launch we measure and come back with the next hypotheses.

Client voices

What our clients say

  • „Working with the Wzór team was a genuinely great experience! They always answered our questions quickly and were flexible about our comments. They have no shortage of creative ideas and are at the same time thoroughly reliable and on time. The end result fully met our expectations; we recommend them to anyone looking for professionals who care.”
Maja Wieloch-Silecka Operations Director, Bosfor Group
  • „Our clients expect us to act fast and effectively across a very wide scope - from building a brand, through a website with a store, to running an effective sales campaign. Not an easy task, but doable when you have a tight-knit team and partners who take on challenges on the fly. For us, quality, accountability and commitment are key, and working with UX Agency Wzór gives us that 100%.”
Piotr Alberski Chief Operating Officer, Agencja XO Media
  • „Our cooperation with UX Agency Wzór started with our own website. We really liked the way they work, so we decided to subcontract projects for our clients to them on a White Label basis. We loved their workflow, the way they hand projects over to our team, their documentation and their work on the design system. Now we can take on bigger risks.”
Mateusz Swół Chief Operating Officer, Sellace

FAQ

Questions that come up most often

Do you design within the restrictions on Rx drug advertising?

Yes. Communicating Rx drugs to patients is strictly regulated - we do not design advertising, we design education and product information consistent with the SmPC. We work with the client’s medical affairs team at every stage so that all content clears internal medical and legal approval.

How do you handle GDPR in health data?

Health data is a special category of personal data under GDPR. We design consents, processing policies and onboarding paths from the outset together with the client’s Data Protection Officer. Privacy by design is not optional for us - in this industry it is the foundation of conversion, because without patient trust there is no programme.

Do you work with e-prescriptions and the P1 Platform?

Yes - integrations with e-prescriptions and the P1 Platform are standard in e-pharmacy and telemedicine projects. We design the prescription verification path on both the patient and the pharmacist side so that it complies with Ministry of Health and NFZ regulations.

Do you cover implementation support and work with medical affairs?

Yes - in pharma, sign-off from medical affairs, marketing and compliance is part of the design process, not a blocker at the end. We work in sprints with regular review sessions, so every stage clears internal review without going back to the drawing board.
