We Delivered an MVP of a Cashback App in Four Weeks

We created a cashback app that offers users a convenient platform for online shopping where they can save money.

Fonia combines up-to-date information on promotions and coupons with cashback from purchases. The biggest challenge of this project was the tight deadline for delivering the UX/UI design of the Fonia cashback app, which we successfully met.

Key Goals and Challenges

In addition to the deadline, the client also wanted to test the app. To facilitate this, we developed a clickable prototype in Figma.

Design Process

The most important aspect of this project was to test the MVP (Minimal Viable Product) as quickly as possible. We are known for our efficient processes, and only through them were we able to deliver a complete UX/UI design, including a clickable prototype, in just four weeks. This was exactly what the client needed to conduct tests.
During the Product Discovery workshops, together with the Fonia team, we went through a series of exercises prepared by Wzór. We gained a deep understanding of the client’s business, its competitive advantages, and its challenges and concerns. We established the top priorities and the order of implementing features.
Information Architecture (IA) involves organizing, structuring, and labeling content in digital environments to make it understandable and intuitive for users. User flow is a visual representation of the path a user takes through a product or service to complete a specific task or goal. Both of these elements are crucial in designing user experiences to ensure intuitive and efficient interaction with an app or website. To design the best user experiences, we explore potential paths users might take when using the app. Using the FigJam tool, we create detailed maps, which are then analyzed step by step.
Low fidelity is an early stage of design focused on functionality, structure, and information flow, rather than on detailed aesthetics. This allows us to test the app and eliminate errors at a very early stage. We use interactive prototypes in Figma to conduct these tests.
Building a robust design system that aligns with Fonia’s branding was a key task. This approach ensures that we can easily scale the product in the future while maintaining consistency, which is crucial for the overall user experience.
After creating the MVP-based prototype, we designed the graphical interface following the company’s brand book. Our goal was to implement user-friendly solutions while also giving the app a unique design touch.

Results

Thanks to the MVP (Minimal Viable Product) approach, we reduced the client’s risk associated with launching a new product on the market. We delivered an iOS/Android app, and the design process took only four weeks. After this short period, we were ready to begin testing and collecting invaluable user feedback.
