UX/UI design of the Swish product catalogue website

We developed a UX/UI design for Swish's online product catalog, focusing on automating client communication processes, and implemented it on the WordPress CMS using no-code techniques.

Swish Poland has been an importer of Swish products since 2001. The warm reception of Swish products on the Polish market and the company's dynamic growth led to the opening of a production facility in 2010. As their offerings expanded, our UX Agency Wzór was chosen to design and implement a new website with a product catalog, along with several other tasks, such as product visualizations and icon development.
  • The UX design and implementation took only 2 months;
  • We assigned a three-person team consisting of two UX Designers and a WordPress Developer;
  • We developed a unique set of icons, product visualizations, and labels;
  • We designed a unique PDF generator for hygiene plans;
  • We automated key communication processes with end customers, such as creating a download center and assigning product descriptions, safety data sheets, and product photos for download. This significantly reduced inquiries about these important materials.

Key Objectives

For the Swish team, optimizing processes became a priority. Creating hygiene plans for clients was particularly cumbersome as it was always done manually in a spreadsheet. We proposed designing and implementing a unique PDF generator functionality for hygiene plans, automating these processes for Swish.
Product Catalog
Our task was to organize a rich offering of 90+ products across 11 categories and present them attractively in the online product catalog.
PDF Generator
The client tasked us with designing a UX project for a PDF hygiene plan generator, automating a crucial process in the company.
Process Optimization
Every element of the website was designed to reduce the need for communication with clients on obvious matters, such as the need to download product descriptions, safety data sheets, or product images.

Project Process

The foundation was mapping out the most important functionalities from the perspective of optimizing communication processes with the end customer, providing them with all important elements in the online product catalog. To this end, we conducted workshops and several other activities aimed at achieving this goal.
During the workshops, we primarily used two exercises: functionality mapping and user journey mapping. This allowed us to build the foundation for further work, creating a detailed specification and scope.
During the design process, we focused on the main objectives and functionalities developed during the workshops. The UX team created an information architecture, user flows, and conducted a UX audit of the previous website. Desk research was also conducted, ensuring that the low-fidelity wireframes met the client's needs. After incorporating minor feedback, the UI was prepared, and the team moved to the implementation phase.
We used no-code implementation techniques on the WordPress CMS, giving the Swish team full control over the product catalog. For this, we used the Oxygen Page Builder and custom fields. As a result, changes to the site are easy to implement without needing a developer.
