They’re like a scientist who’ll check how well your digital product wins over your customers’ hearts.

## Who is a UX tester?

Picture an IT specialist combing through every nook of your site and pointing out every flaw they come across. After all, testers try out and evaluate products themselves, right? A UX tester is unique in this respect, because instead of sharing their own experiences, they **learn the experiences of the users your offer is aimed at**.

**They study the usability of websites, services and apps** - that is, they check whether and to what extent these are intuitive, convenient and attractive for users. #### Usability tests

The tester gives users specific tasks to complete on your site or in your app. As they carry them out, the users share their impressions in real time. Combining the results of several such tests already lets you see certain patterns and plan changes.

#### In-depth interviews with users

Through these, the researcher learns the expectations, needs, emotions and motivations that guide users when using digital products like yours. The better you know your target group, the better the solutions you’ll be able to offer them. The automatic, personal assumptions that naturally arise in us may have little to do with reality.

#### Recordings of user behaviour

By seeing what users who land on your site, app or service do step by step, you can map out their purchase paths and eliminate the weakest links of the design through which you lose the most conversions.

-   Your digital product is outdated, too slow or not adapted to mobile devices;
-   Few people use the features you rolled out - they’re too difficult or so hidden in the site structure that reaching them takes real determination;
